Does a Vibrator count as AI?
A non epic sexy time quandary
I have one fanatical fret with modernity. Whenever you google a question AI thrusts it’s shiny face into yours with it’s popping perfect incisors. Refusing to be seduced I riffle past. Why choose this option when our unique perspectives can explore new vistas, not just an aggregate of what is already known, and too often risibly inaccurate. What if this is our collective Faustian test? Are we willing to perch on the top of the bell curve, with, alas, convenience our BF, #LOL?
Let me introduce you to hypocrisy, as it makes itself unwelcome, an unbecoming protuberance BF #crossroads.
Double alas, poor Spell Check I know you well.
As a dyslexic with ADHD there are multiple red and blue wibbles that underline even a severe short sentence. A curiously welcome sight and a testament to it’s service. I am intoxicated by words, language, etymology, the craft and the transformative power of writing. The Collins dictionary is one of my favourite books, closely followed by Roget’s Thesaurus. Double Alas, my perpetually dislocated thumbs and forefinger knuckles render holding these oracles painful and ungainly. I have to recite the alphabet out loud in order to find the right page, and then again to locate the second letter – at times ad nauseam. What if Spell Check is the convenient gateway AI that flatters me to further usage?
Triple Whammy alas as I ponder the Vibrator. What if this sexy time aid is the physical embodiment of AI? Am I de facto outsourcing pleasure for a synthetic orgasm? Squandering the art of creative self discovery, fantasy, the freak, the unknown and the joy of savouring the sensual self? Adapting to short sharp satiation that is mechanical and fabricated. What if this is the fated slippery slope to a virtual world and the RIP of experiential pleasure? Are will willing to allow convenience to gag time rich sugar and spice? Is this our collective Kafka moment, the only species that becomes the anti-whole and the disembodied? #metamorphosis
Do I silence the buzz, publish gobbledegook and embrace all that is analogue once more?
Until next time my fab tribe
Lucy
PS. Ironically spell check failed. The word “risibly” was put in the naughty chair with a curly red underline. To the rescue Collins dictionary; hurrah as it is the correct spelling and was duly added to the lexicon.

This! So good, Lucy.
